Airsoft hand signals
http://www.lefande.com/hands.html
http://www.fcrc.org/hand/
I laughed so hard when I found these:

You need to practice whatever hand signals and gestures you are using with a team.
Once you are all familiar with a learned set practice, practice and did I mention practice.
You may also want to change your tactics from the NORM as others will know what you are telling teammates by watching your signals.
Like code talkers did.
You can sometimes mesmerize your enemy as well as throw them off in a projected manner.

Airsoft lingo
CQB- close quarter battle. It is like close ranged combat of that helps.
TBB- tight-bore barrel. The circjmference of the barrel is smaller, depending on the type. Increases accuracy.
FPS- feet per second. The speed in which the bb travels through the air.
DMR- designated marksmen rifle. A rifle that has extended range. Can be used to pick out snipers or other DMR's.
GBB- gas blow back. Refers to any gas powered gun that has a blowback action. Most common in pistols, with the slide racking back and to it's original position like real steel pistols
NBB- non blow back. Refers to any gas powered gun that lacks a blowback action. Revolvers can be found in this category. NBB's often can get more shots off on one fill of gas than GBB's
CO2- carbon dioxide. Refers to gas powered guns that run exclusively on CO2 gas. Are the most powerful gas guns in airsoft
Real Steel- in airsoft, this means the actual version of airsoft replicas. Aka "real steel"
RPS/RPM- rounds per second/minute. referring to the fire rate of a given airsoft weapon
Green Gas - main components are Propane and Silicon. Works basically the same, however the silicon will make sure that when the gas passes through, it also passes some silicon along with it. This helps makes sure your O-rings and such are kept in good condition. You can find a good video here:

Holding gun properly
First things first: FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER!!! I don't know how many times I have to remind my own teammates about a straight trigger finger. This means your trigger finger is straight and is not touching the trigger. This ensures that there is no misfires before and during a game (I stress this alot on our team considering we play in a neighborhood and when we see a civilian we lower our guns and I put on a straight trigger finger, not so sure about the guy next to me though).
Next thing you need to know: NO GANGSTER HOLDS!!! I know, holding a pistol sideways looks sexy, especially when that pistol is some crazy gold Desert Eagle and you are shooting it with only your pinky and you have a Raging Bull revolver in the other hand, but you will almost NEVER get the best results, and you look like an amature. The gun should be held with both hands in an upright position. We'll get into aiming and shooting and all of that later.
Next lesson: LEARN HOW TO MOVE WITH YOUR GUN!!! When moving with your gun, don't just go running toward a guy arms waving, head banging, and bb's flying everywhere (trust me, it doesn't work). When walking, toes pointed foward, eyes always looking in the same direction your walking, legs slightly bent, and take small steps, you shouldn't be running (this will also help out your squad mates if you all are moving in a formation so no one is too fast or too slow, you all are moving as a single entity, not as sections). Now I would recommend getting a strap for your gun so when you are just standing waiting for the game to start you won't have to hold it or worry about the straight trigger finger, you just let it loose, and if you accidently drop it, it doesn't fall to the ground.

we have started a blogger for traffic! if you'd like to see our real site please visit:

Started a twitter for the group! Everyone needs to stay current with the forums to make sure you’re not missing anything. I mainly started the Twitter to help get eyes on the website and the name out there. We probably won’t get much but everything counts. We will also be getting an order together fairly soon so every one should keep that in mind. Twitter can be found here.
thursday practice
We’re working to get together on Thursday now that every one has matching schedules. We will be getting together tomorrow to talk about some things and do some basic drills. No ammo needed, but you will still need your gun.
patch contest
If you guys haven’t already checked it out yet, make sure to head to the forums and vote for your favorite patch design! This design is what will be used in the future for our squad/unit patch and will be worn on future uniforms. It will be only for 30 days and then will be closed and the votes will be taken into account. If you forget to vote then that’s your loss! Click hereto go check out the correct patch and put your vote in.
Also if you haven’t already please click here and post your current or future work schedule so we can work out practice times.
switched site backend
Decided to switch the back-end for our main page here over to WordPress. This allows for quick and easy updates (even remotely by phone). I figured I’d do this so if need-be I could allow Officers to create posts on our main page instead of just the forums. You can create a new account here on the site (use the same username as the forums please), but it’s not required to post comments or anything. I’ll probably change the banner soon but I don’t currently have Photoshop installed so it will have to wait a bit.
On another note we haven’t been able to play airsoft lately due to TTech’s awesome scheduling abilities, and the fast that most of you are being switched to new departments. With that said, hopefully none of you are being discouraged or anything. Well be back to shooting each other in the face before you know it! We will be getting the group order back together pretty soon, so make sure to keep checking the forums regularly so you don’t miss that or get kicked off the squad.
site changes
The chat has been giving us issues on all Internet Explorer versions (go figure). I went ahead and took the chat offline for the time being and plan on probably recoding it. This will take some testing and I don’t have much time right now, so it will be a bit before it is back online. Please hang tight and visit the forums for messaging.
updates and fixes
I hope everyone had a great and safe 4th of July! I have came through and fixed a few bugs with the new website. If anyone notices anything wrong with the site, send a message through the PR system or post on our forums so we can get it fixed as soon as possible. We’re not having training today due to some members being temp. out of service. On another note, I would love ideas for the website if anyone has any. If you do, send a message through the PR system or on the forums. I’m currently working on a chat system but do not have a solid ETA on it. Once I have more information I will let everyone know what’s going on.
Website Online
As a 4th of July gift for everyone, I have finally come up with a website for the team. It’s something quick and simple and is still in its early stages, but as time goes by I will get everything situated. If you notice anything funky with the website just let me know so I can fix it. As of right now, the page is going to be pretty bland. We’re not having training tomorrow, so please take note!
server update
We’ve finally moved the forums and website to a new server! It’s a lot more efficient and loads faster than the old setup. Hope everyone enjoys the new setup! Let me know if you run into any issues, I’ve been messing with some code to get everything just right.
